Greetings good citizen,
Science isn’t for everyone (as evidenced by the dreck Hollywood continues to produce by the bucketful. Who funds this crap anyway?)
Um, if you’d rather perform your own dental work than be assaulted by news from today’s ‘scientific frontier’ then this article won’t be to your liking…but that does nothing to alter the ‘likely outcome’ of this kind of research.
Yes good citizen, I am often astonished by the mind-numbing lack of curiosity displayed by the average individual (not that I particularly blame them…so far technology has primarily been used to make things more difficult rather than easier. Your ‘solitude’ was the first item to be sacrificed on the altar of ‘high tech’, your ‘privacy’ followed immediately behind, for those of you who (mistakenly) think solitude has no value…)
Tell your Progressive Representatives they'd better keep their pledge...or else!

Remember when the Progressive Caucus was standing firm on the public option?
April 2nd, 2009:
Dear Madam Speaker and Majority Leader,
Regarding the upcoming health care reform debate, we believe it is important for you to know that virtually the entire 77-Member Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) prefers a single-payer approach to healthcare reform. Therefore, it will come as no surprise as you work to craft comprehensive health care reform legislation, that we urge the inclusion of a public plan option, at a minimum, in the final legislation. We have polled CPC Members and a strong majority will not support legislation that does not include a public plan option that is supported on a level playing field with private health insurance plans.
We look forward to working with you to ensure inclusion of a public plan option and the successful passage of healthcare legislation that will provide a choice of quality healthcare for all Americans.
Sincerely,
Lynn Woolsey, Co-Chair, Congressional Progressive Caucus
Raul Grijalva, Co-Chair, Congressional Progressive Caucus
Today? Well, according to the lady who answers Jim McDermotts calls, not so much.

Unfortunately the answer to the question are plus-size women looked at differently in the world today's is yes they are. No matter how hard a large woman tries to fit in. There will be someone among her friends and family who cannot accept a larger woman.
Many believe that a plus-size woman is plus size because she cannot control her eating habits however this is only a myth and untrue. In fact, links of london charms

Getting married in this economy has started a new trend in bridesmaid dresses, the casual day wear bridesmaid dress and matching sensible shoes. With the costs of a new hairstyle, tiffany jewelry dress, shoes, registry gift, bridal shower gifts etc, the role of bridesmaid is quickly becoming unaffordable. Being chosen as a bridesmaid is a unique and special honor, a bride can make the role affordable by choosing a dress and shoes which are both economical and practical. Choosing styles which are economical and practical is easy when you can narrow the down dresses and shoes to those which may be worn many times in the future.

Greetings good citizen,
It’s nice having extra ‘downtime’ so I can expand the amount of material I comb through for your reading pleasure. Naturally, simply cutting and pasting someone else’s work in this space doesn’t do you any good, you could just as easily find these pieces for yourself.
My job is to add to the perspective of the original writer, make the piece more interesting.
Tonight’s offering is sure to set some folks teeth on edge without reading further than the title.
Where do you suppose I stand on this issue? Do you care or is it more important to know where you stand? Are you a ‘weak, fearful thing?’

10:37 minutes (9.72 MB)It's been a busy August, and a busy Congressional recess. We've been to events for Congressman Allen Boyd, Alan Grayson, and of course, Ander Crenshaw. We've got a backlog of great interviews. After negotiating a steep learning curve with our video editing software, we are ready to launch our first short video -- with much more to come. Also, we have Glen Beck's "912" event coming up in Washington. I can't think of a better venue to get some dittoheads on camera. But we need your help. Please think about using the Pay Pal button, below.

The folly of the "public option" and why we need to insist on Single Payer

The bait and switch that was the "public option" was simply a ruse to get activists to compromise on the only real healthcare option that can work: single payer. The "public option" ruse allowed the rallying cry to change from "healthcare, not healthinsurance" to "choice for all". However, the decision to change our rallying cry, to compromise on single payer, allowed an opening for the insurance industry to gain a solid role in forming any comprehensive plan proposal.
With single payer, we locked them completely out of the process. With a "public option" all the industry had to do was to be certain that any government option could not be an effective competitor to the private industry.
That is exactly what they have done.

Harry Reid just condemned 2000 people to die.

Today Harry Reid announced that healthcare reform will be put off until this fall because - a day after the President of the United States said we had to push to get this through - Republicans asked for more time:
We will do what we can to make sure their concerns are not buried, Reid said.
And in so doing, Harry Reid just buried 2,000 Americans. (pdf).
The Urban Institute estimated that 22,000 adults died in 2006 because they did not have health insurance.
Let's assume that average has gone up a tiny bit and round off to 24,000 in 2009. Then a one month delay in getting health care out to Americans everywhere means 2,000 people have to die so that Republicans can have more time.
More time to do what? Obstruct health care reform?
