Speaking Of Renewable Energy . . .

Daily Kos has a comprehensive proposed energy policy.
In fact, it's a "think tank" quality proposal -- one we should help promote. As I said recently, this issue is absolute poison to the corporate right. They don't want renewable energy, because it empowers ordinary people. Hang their opposition around their necks like an anchor.

CG,
Outstanding!! The plan is less innovative than I would prefer, cuz I like a shorter timetable toward energy self sufficiency and I like your model of a completely decentralized power grid. But it is a hellava good start and will surely be subject to millions of revisions and adjustments as it strolls toward implementation.
It is a national energy policy with effective goals. It is something we could do as a nation to save our SOL, our economy and our national security.
It beats the hell out of never forging an energy policy aside from letting industry pursue profits and accept the results.
So they have a plan to make this a major campaign, it sounds worthwhile. I may need to climb aboard.
